How do you beat the fight against Papyrus? ›

During his fight, Papyrus will change your SOUL blue. Use long jumps to avoid the bone attacks. Continue to fight and avoid bone attacks until Papyrus fails his special attack. Choose "Mercy" to spare Papyrus or "Fight" to defeat him.

If you don't FLIRT with Papyrus during his battle he calls the "date" hanging out instead, and "Dating Power" is replaced with "Frienship". But as long as you just do that bit regardless of what Papyrus calls it, you still get the requesite for True Pacifist.

If the protagonist loses to him three times, Papyrus grows tired of capturing them and offers them the option to skip his battle and progress to the next area. In the Genocide Route, Papyrus instantly offers to spare the protagonist.

Blue Bones: During this attack, you will see a large blue bone followed by a small white bone come at you. You need to wait until the blue bone passes you and then jump over the short white bone while moving in the same direction as the white bone. You can either kill the Dummy, talk to the Dummy, or spam Spare for a bunch of turns (which results in the Dummy tiring of your aimless shenanigans and floating away). If you did kill Papyrus, Sans reasons you killed Toriel as well, and tells you that things do not look good for you.
