Are any of you having issues at Less Swab. Here is what happened to my husband yesterday. I normally would give praise for Les Schwab but today is not one of those days. Over the years I have purchased at least 10+ sets of tires (4 tires at a time) plus the 6 tires I recently purchased for the RV ($$$). Today I went in to check the balance on Debs Jeep. Because we replaced the original tires in VA when we were living there, Les Schwab wanted to charge for balancing. After discussion and review of my account, he advised there would not be a charge. However, as work was being done, the service guy came and said I would be charged. I explained the discussion previously and he said the guy who said no charge is not a manager. Ultimately I was not charged. I was advised the Jeep failed the alignment check and I would need to return at 1pm. I requested 1:30 because of things I was doing but they advised they do on the hour so would have to be 1 or 2pm. I arrived prior to 1pm but the car was not pulled in for service until 1:29pm.When I purchased the RV tires in June I was told the snow chains (auto sock) would not fit the new tires because of a minor size difference. I was told again this morning when I inquired and then again when I returned at 1pm with the older chains. However when they were looking for the old purchase on my account, I pointed out the new tire sizes were listed on the tag of the original auto sock chains. They agreed I did not need new chains.It took just under an hour this morning to balance and then 1 1/2 hours to do the alignment.When I made the appointment I was told I would receive a military discount. When I had to pay, they advised they don’t offer military discount on labor charges. 😡
